FESTIM RIZANAJ

The dubious portal with content in the Albanian language "mërgimtari.net" yesterday (September 30) published an article titled "German government makes decision on residence permits, Albanians and Kosovars also benefit".

After fact-checking by hibrid.info, it was confirmed that the news is old (July 2022) at a time when Germany had decided on the first migration reform package and where the temporary suspension of the deportation of persons without the right to reside.

Excerpt from the article published on the dubious portal "mergimtari.net":

On Wednesday (06.07) the German government cabinet decides on the first migration reform package. The draft law of the Ministry of Internal Affairs foresees the introduction of a so-called "chance for the right of residence". This opened a category of foreigners in Germany new opportunities to obtain a secure residence status.

Migrants who have been living in Germany for five years or longer with a "Duldung" permit (temporary suspension of deportation of persons without the right to stay) - will be able to live legally in Germany forever. Specifically, the persons affected by the regulation would receive a residence permit for 1 year of probation. If at this time they show that they know the German language and can make a living, they can get a long-term residence permit in Germany.
