The decision on paid parking even after 19:00 PM currently only applies to "Zone 1"

FATBARDH DEMA

Several information portals have published today an article titled "Paid parking even after 19:00 PM, Havolli provides details: This decision also applies to Zone 2, it is a request from residents."

After verification of the facts conducted by hibrid.info, it has been confirmed that the decision on paid parking even after 19:00 does not currently apply to Zone 2.

Links to the article published on the portals "gazetaexpress.com" and "gazetametro.com":

The article published by the aforementioned portals was taken from "GazetaBlic.com", for which the CEO of "Parking Prishtina", Sokol Havolli, spoke about this issue.

Hibrid.info has managed to find the article published by "GazetaBlic.com", to which the above-mentioned portals have referred.

The article published in "GazetaBlic.com" bears the title "Paid parking even after 19:00 PM, Havolli provides details: This decision will also apply to Zone 2 in the future, it is a request from residents." (see here)

Excerpt from Havoll's statement given to GazetaBlic.com:

"First of all, this issue is also related to the old regulation, but it has not been implemented and I do not know the reason why it has not been implemented. Second, it does not make sense if parking during the day for residents, as it has been until now, has been paid, and in the evening hours when they return home from work, they will not have enough space because they are blocked without payment by other visitors. So this directly aims to solve the problem for resident residents and has been included in the regulation, and the same will in the meantime be extended to "Zone 2", because we have done analysis and we have seen that the neighborhoods are mainly loaded in the evening hours by both visitors and residents", Havolli told Gazeta Blic.

So, currently the decision on paying for parking after 19:00 PM only applies to Zone 1 (center).

Also, in the announcement made through the official “Parking Prishtina” Facebook page, it is announced that the decision currently only applies to parking lots in Zone 1 (center). (see here)

Analyze:

Some information portals have incorrectly claimed that the decision on paid parking even after 19:00 PM also applies to Zone 2.

However, after verification of the facts conducted by hibrid.info, it has been confirmed that this decision currently only applies to parking lots in Zone 1 (center), while such a decision is expected to come into effect for Zone 2 in the meantime.

Based on the working methodology, hibrid.info evaluates the article published by "gazetaexpress.com" and "gazetametro.com" as "Error".

Reasoning:

The "Error" rating is given to media reports in which the media editorial staff made a mistake by publishing incorrect information or broadcasting unverified news from another source, without the clear intention of misinforming the public.
