The Facebook page "Realiteti" published a video yesterday (April 14) showing a drone stuck in power lines.

The aforementioned website captioned this video with ""Gogoli Iran": One of the Iranian drones trapped in electrical cables."

After fact-checking conducted by hibrid.info, it has been confirmed that the video is old and the same incident took place in the Syrian city of Abu Khashab.

After research conducted through online search engines, hibrid.info managed to find the same video material, published on February 20, 2024 on the social media X (formerly Twitter). (see here)

The description of this video material published by the "alsharqia24news" account states: "An unidentified drone crashed in the village of Qamar al-Din in the town of Abu Khashab, northwest of Deir ez-Zor."

Analyze:

After verifying the facts, hibrid.info has confirmed that the Facebook page "Realiteti" has published an old video footage showing a drone stuck in power lines in a Syrian city.

This site falsely claimed that the footage was of the latest escalation between Iran and Israel.

Based on its work methodology, hibrid.info assesses this claim as "Unverified Content".

Reasoning:

The "Unverified" rating is given to those informative contents that do not provide sufficient information to confirm the claims made in the report, and which could not be verified due to certain circumstances (speed, lack of sources) during the publication of the content.
