The video where Trump threatens Serbia is generated by Artificial Intelligence

A video has been released showing the President of the United States of America (US), Donald Trump, making a threatening statement against Serbia.

it CONTENT was published yesterday (June 22) by a TikTok account named "azempajaziti".

What is the truth?

Hibrid.info has found that this material was generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI).

As of publication, the video has been viewed around 50 times and has over 90 comments. From the content of the comments, it can be estimated that a portion of the audience is likely to take the content as real.

Trump's statement transcribed and translated from the video:

"I am ready to use military force against all tyrants. I will soon invite the presidents of Kosovo and Serbia to the White House. We have military forces in Kosovo. If Serbia attacks our troops, I will destroy Belgrade, and Serbia knows this."

Hibrid.info used the AI-generated content control platform, "HiveModeration", whose assessment indicates that the video was likely generated by this technology.

Hibrid.info has also conducted a research through the search engine “Google”, using the keywords “Trump threatens Serbia” and limiting the search to content published during the last week. However, the results of this search did not provide any facts or material that would confirm such a statement (see here).

Since he assumed the presidency of the United States (see here), Donald Trump has mentioned Kosovo and Serbia on two occasions. In the first post, Trump wrote that, during his first term, Serbia and Kosovo were in a fierce conflict that had lasted for decades, and this long conflict was ready to erupt into war if he did not stop it (see here) while in the second post he mentioned the conflict, among the many conflicts which he prevented (see here).

Analyze:

The claim that Donald Trump threatened Serbia in a public statement is unfounded.

The relevant video appears to be generated by Artificial Intelligence and there is no official source confirming such a statement.

Therefore, based on its work methodology, hibrid.info assesses this content as "Fraud" and "Fake News".

Reasoning:

The “Deception” rating is given to informational content that is manipulated in terms of visual (deepfake, cheapfake), audio, or textual content to deceive the audience. This form of deception is usually used to produce false and manipulated content.

The “Fake News” rating is given to informational content that is entirely fabricated or that contains factually incorrect claims or information. Content that is rated as fake news can be defined as having been created and distributed with the intent to misinform the public, i.e., to present a claim that is completely false as fact.
