There is no official decision on the duration of the detention measure.

FATBARDH DEMA

Albanian-language online media published articles yesterday (June 16) claiming that the Serbian Court has ordered 30 days of detention for three Kosovo police officers, who were allegedly kidnapped by Serbian forces in Kosovo territory.

However, after verification of the facts conducted by hibrid.info, it has been confirmed that there is still no official decision from the High Court in Kraljevo regarding the duration of detention for the three Kosovo police officers.

So, apart from the announcement on Friday (June 16) that the detention measure was imposed by the preliminary procedure judge at the High Court in Kraljevo, its duration is still unclear.

Radio Free Europe (RFE/RL) was the first media outlet to report on the imposition of pre-trial detention on three Kosovo police officers, adding that "its duration is not clear at this time."

However, according to Kosovo's Deputy Foreign Minister, Kreshnik Ahmeti, who spoke to REL, he said that it is about 30 days of detention. (see here)

Apart from this claim made by Ahmeti, the duration of the detention measure is currently unknown.

In the announcement of the High Public Prosecutor's Office in Kraljevo published on June 16, it is stated that "the judge for the preliminary proceedings of the High Court in Kraljevo has ordered the detention of all suspects". Therefore, its duration is not specified. (see here)

Analyze:

Based on research and fact-checking, hibrid.info has confirmed that some Albanian-language online media have made inaccurate claims regarding the duration of the detention of Kosovo police officers, who on June 14 were allegedly kidnapped by Serbian forces in the territory of Kosovo.

The announcement issued by the High Public Prosecutor's Office in Kralevë does not specify the duration of the detention measure.

Based on its work methodology, hibrid.info assesses these articles published by Albanian-language media as "Unverified Content".

Reasoning:

The “Unverified” rating is given to those media reports that do not provide sufficient information to confirm the claims made in the report, and which have not been able to confirm the same due to the lack or non-possession of reliable sources.
