The AIMS draft law does not foresee an espionage war against Serbia, as Informer claims

FESTIM RIZANAJ

The Serbian-language newspaper "Informer" published an article today claiming that official Pristina has a plan for an espionage war against Serbia.

The article published in the Serbian-language newspaper also made it to the front page with the headline "Espionage War Against Serbia: Albanians Create Secret Service, Serbs Will Be the Main Target."

The unfounded allegations were raised following the approval of the Draft Law on the Establishment of the Defense Intelligence and Security Agency (AIMS).

Parts of the article published in "Informer":

A dangerous plan by the Pristina authorities

Albanians are secret service agents, Serbs should be their main target.

The government of the fake state approved the draft law for the establishment of the Defense Intelligence and Security Agency, which will also function abroad.

From what is seen in the content of the article, it is understood that these claims are interpretations not based on facts.

From the analysis of the content of the Draft Law on AIMS approved by the Government of Kosovo, it is confirmed that no part mentions any specific objective or dedication dedicated to Serbs. And, even less the presentation of any plan for espionage war against Serbia. (here)

As announced by the Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj, the draft law in question will only amplify "state defense and citizen security," but without mentioning any specific intention to attack any external party.

"This agency will exercise its activity inside and outside the territory of the Republic of Kosovo with the aim of supporting the Ministry of Defense (MoD) and the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) in the field of intelligence, counterintelligence and security related to potential threats or risks to the performance of their constitutional and legal mission. AISM, an agency that will amplify state protection and citizen security!". (here)

Even in the document of this Draft Law, published on the website of the Government of Kosovo, there are no goals related to the claim made by the Serbian language media. From the research and analysis of this draft law, it is seen that several goals of this Draft Law have been defined, which are:

Analyze:

The Serbian-language newspaper "Informer" claims without facts that official Pristina has a plan for an espionage war where Serbs will be their main target.

These claims were raised following the approval of the Draft Law on the Defense Intelligence and Security Agency by the Government of Kosovo.

As it is known, the AIMS Draft Law approved by the Kosovo Government is not dedicated to Serbs and does not present any plan for an espionage war against Serbia, but rather to amplify "state defense and citizen security."

Based on the working methodology, hibrid.info evaluates this claim as a "conspiracy theory".

ASSESSMENT:

"Conspiracy theories" are media reports that disseminate a false or unverifiable description of a phenomenon, event, or person, presenting it as part of or the result of a secret plan ("conspiracy"). A characteristic of these reports is that they present a series of claims, presented as facts, between which cause-effect relationships are established, without providing any credible evidence.
