Another false claim that Kosovo has secured tanks from Turkey

HIBRID

Wrote: Etrit Rexhepi

An image showing a tank has been published, with the caption implying that Kosovo has obtained this equipment from Turkey.

This content is published on September 23 on TikTok from an account named "oki0804".

What is the truth?

Hibrid.info has not found any facts that confirm the alleged information. As of the time of this writing, this post It has received nearly 30 thousand views and 166 comments.

Hibrid.info has found that the only agreement for Kosovo to purchase weapons from Turkey is the one for the purchase of Bayraktar TB-2 drones, confirmed by Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti (see here).

Also, hibrid.info found that on (September 3), Prime Minister Kurti left open the possibility of cooperation between the two countries for the production of ammunition, during a meeting with the president of the Turkish Defense Industry Agency, Haluk Gorgun, but without confirming a concrete agreement (see here).

This claim is also refuted by the failure to confirm the news by the Ministry of Defense, as the competent institution managing the Kosovo Security Forces (KSF), which is tasked with protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kosovo (see here).

Hibrid.info has also addressed several similar claims in recent weeks (see here and here).
