Fake news regarding the request for the arrest of Marin Mema

HIBRID

The dubious portal "Specialja.com" continues to publish fake articles. This time, this portal has published an article titled "Greeks and Serbs demand the urgent arrest of Marin because of this revelation?".

The title of this article is fictitious, while the content presents only a part taken from an edition of the show "Albanian Traces" on YouTube, whose author is Top-Channel television journalist Marin Mema.

Original text published on Specialja.com:

Are Greeks and Serbs demanding the urgent arrest of Marin due to this revelation?

The fustanella is undoubtedly one of the oldest garments, which also appears frequently in various archaeological discoveries.

Numerous objects, engravings, paintings reflect the battles of the Tarites with fustanelles... Many authors have written about it, and even many well-known figures of Albanian history appear in this dress. / Open the marketing for 5 seconds and exclusive images appear

Contrary to the title, the content of this article talks about something completely different. The text within the article reflects a topic covered in one of the editions of this show, which talks about, as it is said, Greek efforts to appropriate the Albanian dress.

Description of the show "Albanian Traces" on Youtube:

What is the true history of the fustanella? What do foreign historians and researchers write? How was it stolen by the Greeks?

The fustanella is undoubtedly one of the oldest garments, which also appears frequently in various archaeological discoveries.

Numerous objects, engravings, and paintings depict warriors in frocks...

Many authors have written about it, and even many well-known figures in Albanian history appear in this attire...

But despite this long relationship, many things have changed over time.

What is the reason? Why is the fustanella today considered a stolen piece of history? What is the truth about this ancient garment and its connection to Albanians?

Video of the Albanian Traces show:

Marin Mema has often provoked reactions with his shows in official circles in Greece and Serbia. After the broadcast of a show in 2012, in which the stories of massacres, persecutions and expulsions of Albanians from Chameria were described, he provoked reactions from official Athens, resulting in the decision to declare this Albanian journalist as persona non grata in Greece. However, the article published by Specialja.com does not address this context at all.

Analyze:

The dubious portal Specialja.com has used part of the description of the show "Gjurmë Shqiptare" about the skirt, giving it a false title, aiming to attract readers. This article is categorized as "Fake News", "Clickbait", and Disinformation".

Reasoning:

Fake News – The “Fake News” rating is given to media reports that are entirely the product of a medium that itself contains factually incorrect claims or information. Content that is rated as fake news can be reliably determined to have been created and distributed with the intent to misinform the public, i.e., to present a claim that is completely false as fact.

Disinformation – A “Disinformation” rating is given to media reporting that contains a “mix” of inaccurate sources or even half-truthful content. This rating will also address reports that have incorrect attributions or headlines that do not reflect the text in terms of accuracy of information.

Clickbait – “Clickbait” are those texts whose title has no basis in the content of the following text. Such texts and articles aim to attract the attention of the reader or even the consumer with a sensational title by promising content that does not actually exist and are created mainly out of financial interest, that is, due to increased readability. So, this type of text is only intended to click, which can be converted into a profit for the content producer.
