The Facebook page called "Skenari.net" has published a video with the caption "Can you believe it, €145 salary for firefighters in Kosovo!".
Hibrid.info has researched and verified that this title was derived from a statement by a firefighter who appears in the video footage.
The firefighter interviewed stated that until 2009, 145 euros were paid, and hibrid.info has also confirmed that this category is not paid the amount claimed in the title of the video.

The same video material was published on TikTok by the account "uck_na_bashkon" (see here).
After research by hibrid.info, it has been confirmed that in the first 30 seconds of this video material, two interviewees appear. The first claims that his current salary is close to 500 euros, while the second says that he was paid 145 euros in the first 8 years after the war, a salary which, according to him, was increased in 2009.
Hibrid.info also found an article that shows firefighters' salaries in 2024 (see here).
Based on the salary law, to calculate the salary amount, the coefficient (firefighters have a coefficient of 5) is multiplied by the value of the coefficient (for 2023 the coefficient had a value of 105). Which means that from this calculation it follows that firefighters were paid the amount of 525 euros for this year.
