Several Albanian-language news portals have published an article today (October 24) in which the headline claims that the Minister of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade (MINT), Rozeta Hajdari, has been fined 1,250 euros for hitting a 9-year-old girl with a car.
After verification of the facts conducted by hibrid.info, it has been confirmed that the title of this article is incorrect, as Minister Hajdari was sentenced to a fine of 200 euros, and the remaining part included in the payment went towards the costs of the misdemeanor procedure.

After conducting research, hibrid.info found the verdict of the Basic Court in Pristina posted on their Facebook page, in the case of Rozeta Hajdari, for hitting a minor (9 years old) with a car in April last year (2022). According to this verdict from the Minor Offense Division, the defendant Hajdari was sentenced to a fine of 200 euros. (here)
The remaining part of the payment that Minister Hajdari is obliged to pay is included in the costs of the misdemeanor procedure and not part of the fine, namely 100 euros for the traffic expert's opinion, 900 euros for super expertise and 50 euros for forensic expertise.
Judgment of the Basic Court in Pristina in the case of the defendant, Rozeta Hajdari
Pristina, October 24, 2023 – The Basic Court in Pristina – General Department, Minor Offense Division in the minor offense procedure, has decided on the case against the defendant RH, due to a traffic accident for the minor offense under Article 53 paragraph 1 of the Law on Road Traffic Rules in conjunction with Article 255 paragraph 2 of the Law on Road Traffic Rules, based on Article 55 paragraph 2 and Articles 77, 86, 119, 124, 127 of the Law on Minor Offenses, as well as on Article 289 paragraph 1 point 1.2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
The court, deciding on the basis of articles 3,7,8,9,17 paragraph 1 point 1.2,1.5.31 and article 35 of the Law on Minor Offenses no. 05/L-087, hereby imposes a fine on the defendant RH in the amount of two hundred euros (200) €, and obliges the defendant to pay the fine imposed within 15 days from the date of entry into force of this judgment.
The defendant RH is obliged to pay the amount of one hundred (100) € for the opinion of the traffic expert, and is also obliged to pay the amount of nine hundred (900) € for the super expertise and for the forensic expertise to pay the amount of 50 €. If the defendant does not pay the fine within the deadline provided by law, as well as the costs of the misdemeanor procedure, otherwise the execution will be carried out according to the provisions of the Law on Enforcement Procedure.
