With an image generated by artificial intelligence, a false claim is made about Kurti's meeting with Simiqi

Through a TikTok post, it has been claimed that the leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, had a meeting with the Serbian List MP, Slavko Simić, on Thursday after the session in which Glauk Konjufca was voted against as Prime Minister of Kosovo.

The publication was made by the account "Kosovo.betrayed". The claim contains a photograph showing two people at a table in a cafe.

The photo is accompanied by the caption: "CONGRATULATIONS TO THE VETVENDOSJE COALITION and the Serbian List."

What's wrong with this claim?

After encountering the image, Hibrid.info verified it through verification platforms (isfake.ai and identifai.net) and found that it was generated by artificial intelligence.


For more, hibrid.info has also searched through "Google com"for any report that there was a meeting between Kurti and Simiqi on Thursday. No credible source has been found that has reported or confirmed such a meeting in the last week.


What happened on Thursday (November 19)?

On November 19, The parliament of Kosovo voted against the prime minister-designate, Glauk Konjufca of the Vetëvendosje Movement, in the proposal to form the Government. Konjufca received 56 votes in favor, 53 were against and four MPs abstained. The parties that voted against included MPs from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and the Serbian List.
