The ban on Serbian minors from putting up posters in the north is presented without facts as an aim to expel Serbian youth.

The detention by the Kosovo Police of five Serbian minors who placed posters in North Mitrovica, with photographs of Stefan Nedelković, one of the killed Serbian paramilitaries who attacked the Kosovo Police on September 24 in Banjska, is being presented without facts as an aim to expel Serbian youth from Kosovo.

The claim was made through the Serbian language account "CORRIDOR” (Corridor) on the Telegram social network.

What is known so far about this case?

"Last night at around 01.00 in the morning, a person was found pasting some pamphlets which, after verification, led to the initiation of a case of incitement to hatred. This person was detained by order of the Prosecutor and four other people have been identified so far. All four other people have been interviewed and material evidence was found in most of them that supports the act of incitement to hatred," said the Deputy Director of Police for the northern region, Veton Elshani.

"After interviewing the last person, all have been released in a regular procedure, including the first person who was detained today in the early hours of the morning. All persons identified or interviewed (including the detainee) are minors.", he confirmed. (see here and here)

After the attack and expulsion of all prominent and brave Serbs, now the turn has come for the expulsion of Serbian youth.

The continued connection of events in the north with the claim of expulsion of Kosovo Serbs

Hibrid.info has also dealt in the past with the narrative of the Government of Serbia, namely the Office for Kosovo in the Government of Serbia, regarding the security situation of Kosovo Serbs.

In many cases, this office describes cases of violence involving Kosovo Serbs as cases with the aim of expelling them from Kosovo, without relying on any facts. (see here, here, here and here)

Analyze:

The content published by the Telegram account does not provide facts to support the claim that the detention of minors in North Mitrovica is related to the expulsion of Kosovo Serb youth.

This content is a continued connection by Serbian institutions of events in the north with the baseless narrative of the expulsion of Kosovo Serbs.

Based on the working methodology, hibrid.info evaluates this claim as a "Conspiracy Theory".

Reasoning:

"Conspiracy theories" are media reports that disseminate a false or unverifiable description of a phenomenon, event, or person, presenting it as part of or the result of a secret plan ("conspiracy"). A characteristic of these reports is that they present a series of claims, presented as facts, between which cause-effect relationships are established, without providing any credible evidence.
