Serbian-language media published an article on June 17 regarding the claims of Petar Petkovic, director of the Office for Kosovo in the Government of Serbia, regarding recent developments in northern Mitrovica.
Petkovic claims in a press conference that on the night of June 16, as reported, “[Albin] Kurti’s police” attempted to make several arrests in the orphanage neighborhood in northern Mitrovica. As he said, an attempt was made “to arrest the two brothers, Goran and Vlada Vučetić, in the city center, and then Miroslav Živković.”
The claim made by Petkovic was denied by Miroslav Živković's wife, who also speaks on behalf of the two Vučetić brothers whom she had contacted.

"It's not just about this night, which was hell for the citizens, it's about Kurti provoking all the time and wanting to cause conflicts and war. Kurti's police tried to make several arrests yesterday and tonight in the Bosniak neighborhood, then tried to arrest the two brothers Goran and Vlad Vučetić in the city center and also pursued Miroslav Živković, who is a friend of Luna (Milun Milenković) and it lasted all night, now the situation is calmer, the armored cars have been replaced with 'Skoda', but there are still a large number of special forces with long barrels."
Despite the claim that three Serbian citizens were pursued by the Kosovo Police to be arrested on the night of June 16, the wife of one of them (Miroslav Živković) has denied such a claim. Contacted by the Serbian-language information portal "Kossev", Jelena Z. claims that her husband spent the entire evening of June 16 with his family and that nothing happened.
"I don't know where Mr. Petkovic got the information that someone was following my husband." My husband was with his family at home last night, no one came to our door, no one knocked, no one followed him." (here, here)
Jelena Z., as she herself announced, has also contacted the other two mentioned by Petkovic, who have also told her that nothing happened to them last night.

Furthermore, Petkovic claims that on the evening of June 16, special forces, which he calls ROSU with over 30 armored vehicles, wearing masks, armed with long weapons, harassed the entire north of Mitrovica.
Kosovo Police announces the engagement of police units within the South Police Station in Mitrovica on the evening of June 16, for the arrest of two persons in two different locations with court orders for various criminal offenses.
